Diatomaceous Earth (DE) filters are highly effective filtration systems for pools, renowned for their ability to capture even the smallest particles. These filters use a fine powder made from fossilized diatoms as the filtration medium. As pool water passes through the DE-coated filter grids, contaminants as small as 3-5 microns are trapped, resulting in exceptionally clear water. Regular maintenance involves backwashing to remove accumulated debris and re-coating the grids with fresh DE powder, ensuring the filter remains efficient and effective in maintaining pool water quality.
